Do you accept insurance?

We accept all major insurance plans and payers, including self pay and HSAs. We have a set rate and do not offer sliding scale payment models.

I've been prescribed medications in the past that have not worked. How do I know if I am going to see improvement?

Our clinicians specialize in dual diagnosis and have 20+ years of experience. They will do a full evaluation as well as utilize your input on your experience of your symptoms to make an accurate diagnosis.

Do you offer evening appointments?

We offer both daytime and evening appointments, including telemed and in-person options.

Do you know of any research trials I could join?

If a doctor prescribes a medication for me, will I have to take it the rest of my life?

No, our providers are more than willing to talk about if different medications or taking you off current ones are the right course of action.

How long will it take to feel better?

Every patient's journey is different. Medications used to treat mental illness do not work instantly, however, with your qualified clinical staff and you’re agreed upon treatment plan you can be assured that improving your mental health, activities of daily life, and functioning improve significantly over time. 

Will I always need therapy if I start therapy?

The skills you develop during therapy are meant to set you up for success and sustainable symptom management in the future. Every patient is different, but therapy treatment goals are not just short-term; therapy can help you achieve your goals, manage mental symptoms and grow in confidence for the long-term.

If I am an Illinois patient, can I be seen via telemedicine? 

No. Per Illinois law, we only can see and treat Illinois residents in-person. Please plan transportation to and from our offices. 

What if a medication doesn't help the first time I take it?

We are willing to explore alternative treatment options with our patients if their current medications are not effectively treating their symptoms.

What is the difference between a psychiatrist and a therapist?

A psychiatrist is the doctor that prescribes you medication to manage your mental symptoms, and a therapist uses behavioral modification techniques, coping skill development, stress reduction, cognitive behavioral therapy and more to help the patient manage their symptoms and daily life stressors for the long-term. The skills taught in therapy are life-long and set our patients up for success.
